We would like to give a short introduction of the Society of the Blind and Weak-sighted of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg region, our tasks, aims and possibilities.

Our membership numbers about 980.

The society is controlled by a committee, including the chairman (Tünde Nagy).

Our task to represent and stand up for the interests of the visually handicapped living in the county, also to promote them in adult education, help them find employment, to solve social problems, social work, furthermore, cultural and free-time activities are organized. We tri to rehabilitate our members.  

Our interest-group is visually handicapped, underaged people, gypsys.

We have a good contact with other social services, endowments, with outlandish institutions, too.
We have different services, witch our members can resort free of charge.
